This product is fantastic, not only it did what was able to do it, it solved one of the most irritating nuisance of a BMW, endemic of the e93 cabriolet series, which in combination of its harsh RFT tires and horrible roads here in Northern NJ resulted in most horrific annoying rubbing squeals coming between the front and rear window panels. The "pillarless" e93 glass panels quieted down with a copious application of the Gummi Pflege Stift. |

Hard to find this highly recommended item but I have it....and it works great. Restores rubber weather stripping, and stopped my windows from freezing against the molding. AAA+++ |

One of the few products that works as claimed. I used to use the old paste Gummi that BMW sold, but no longer does.
After using the last of my Gummi tube I did a search to find a replacement and never found one. On recent finding of the 'new' applicator type, I was skeptical at first thinking it had been watered down into a non-paste form and wouldn't last as long.
I have a 2000 M5 and M Roadster, both have problem areas. M5 windscreen cover and Roadster roof/door sills. applicators, one for each car. For my example, the M5 has a horrible windscreen cover that was cracked and dry rotted. I intend to replace it, but for experiments sake I treated the worn out cover to see if it would recover some of it's pliability. I must admit due to the severity of the 'natural' rubber rot the first two applications was absorbed by the rubber before it had a chance to dry! I waited to apply a second coat. This third coat had effected it in a most positive way. I could see, and feel, a difference. The rubber was darker and more elastic than it had been in probably five years. An amazing turn around from the crumbling mess the cover was before! With further applications it would recover more elasticity. I'm not saying it cured the cracks or the overall looks of the cover to reusable condition, but if I used Gummi with proper maintenance I wouldn't have to replace the cover in the first place. I am saying it brought it back to a viable condition. A simple swipe after the car wash is all it takes! To the point... this is a five star product, so why only four in my rate?.... It is easier to apply, it does have a pleasant smell and it DOES seem to work as claimed.... but I used the paste form in the past, which was messy to apply but worked great. I do know without exception the paste form works.
Having only used the new formula for a few weeks I'm waiting to see the long end use before I give that final star and I don't think I'll be holding it back either. 1z has a good product that works and I DO recommend it for use on any natural rubber product. Thumbs up 1z!
